1. Scan the QRCode: Scan the provided QR code or input manually the secret string. 2. Validate the token: Insert the generated code in the provider’s website/app to confirm its validity. 3. You are protected: When requested Sentinel will provide you with a unique code to validate your identity.

Sentinel is a two-factor authentication (2FA) app available for iOS, macOS, and watchOS. It uses Apple's iCloud Keychain to sync your TOTP codes securely across all your Apple devices, so you never lose access when switching or upgrading a device.
How does Sentinel store and sync 2FA codes?+
All tokens are stored in the encrypted iCloud Keychain and synced across your Apple devices automatically. No 2FA code ever transits to any third-party server — only Apple's infrastructure is used for sync.
How do I add a new 2FA account to Sentinel?+
You can add a 2FA account by scanning the QR code provided by the service, or by manually entering the secret string. Once added, Sentinel generates the time-based one-time code and you validate it on the provider's site to confirm the setup.
What organizational and customization features are included?+
Sentinel supports folders to organize tokens, backup functionality to restore codes, theme and UI customization, and over 1,000 built-in icons for services. If an icon is missing, you can submit a request via the open GitHub repository.
What is included in the lifetime deal versus the App Store subscription?+
