FAQ

Questions buyers ask before they click

Is this deal still available?+
No. This was a limited-time lifetime deal sold through deal platforms. The deal has expired and is no longer available for purchase. If you are interested in similar content, Mammoth Interactive's course still exists on Udemy and their own training platform at training.mammothinteractive.com.
Do I need any prior coding experience?+
No prior coding or digital art experience is required. The course is designed for complete beginners and covers everything from scratch, starting with Unity project setup through to a fully playable game.
Who are the instructors?+
The course is produced by Mammoth Interactive, founded by John Bura — one of Udemy's top-grossing instructors who has been programming games since 1997 and teaching since 2002. The course itself is delivered by two Mammoth Interactive instructors: Glauco Pires (coding in Unity) and Kevin Liao (2D art in Photoshop).
What kind of game will I build?+
You will build a Flappy Bird-style endless flyer game in Unity from scratch. The course walks you through all the game code and also teaches you how to create the 2D art assets for it in Photoshop, then integrate that art into Unity.
Do I need Photoshop?+
The art section of the course uses Adobe Photoshop to create 2D sprites and assets. You will need access to Photoshop (or a comparable tool) to follow along with the art creation portion, though the coding sections are independent of it.
Which version of Unity does the course use?+
The course was recorded using an older version of Unity. Unity has released significant updates since then (including Unity 6). Core C# coding and 2D physics concepts remain applicable, but some menus and UI may look different in current versions of Unity.
How long is the course and what does it cover?+
The course includes 41 lectures totalling approximately 5.5 hours of video content. It covers setting up a Unity project, writing C# game logic, creating 2D art in Photoshop, and integrating the art into a complete playable game.
Is there a certificate of completion?+
This was sold as a third-party bundle deal. Certificate availability depends on the platform through which the course was accessed. Udemy's version of this course does offer a certificate of completion upon finishing all lectures.
